SongDrive Privacy Policy
This policy explains how we handle the information you share with us when using SongDrive (the “Service”). By using SongDrive, you agree to the practices described here.
What we need from you
To provide our Services, we need the following information:
Account
When you register for SongDrive, you provide:
(1) email address
(2) password to access the Service, which you create yourself
Your Files
Your files and messages are stored on our servers so you can access them through the Service.
Mobile App Permissions
Our mobile application requests the following permissions to provide you with full functionality:
Android Permissions
-
RECORD_AUDIO: This permission allows the app to record audio from your device’s microphone. We use this solely for creating audio recordings within the app when you choose to record. Audio is only recorded when you explicitly initiate recording, and all recordings are stored locally on your device or in your private cloud storage. We do not access your microphone in the background or without your explicit action.
-
READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: These permissions allow the app to read and write files to your device storage. This is necessary to save your recordings, import audio files, and manage your music projects. We only access files that you explicitly select or create through the app.
-
MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS: This permission allows the app to modify global audio settings to optimize audio recording and playback quality. This ensures the best possible audio experience when using our app.
iOS Permissions
- Microphone Access: We request access to your microphone to enable audio recording features. You will be prompted when the app first needs to use the microphone, and you can manage this permission in your iOS Settings at any time.
All permissions are used solely to provide the core functionality of SongDrive. We do not use these permissions to collect data for advertising or share your recordings with third parties without your explicit consent.
Cookies
We use cookies to remember your username for your next visit. You can set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use some features.
